‘Sing In Style’ Terms & Conditions (Online Class & Private Lesson Subscriptions)


In the policies below,

“you” means the person who is responsible for a student’s account with Melodique;

“we” means Melodique Music;

“season” means a period of time from the beginning of a NSW public school term to the end, or the beginning of a public school holiday till the end, or the beginning of a subscription agreement till the end

“credit” means instruction time owed by Melodique to the student


Classes & Lessons Purchased Online as Subscription

Once you have subscribed and payment has been received you will be contacted within 2 working days to inform you how to book and attend the classes and/or lessons you have purchased.

We do not take responsibility for any unused online classes or private lessons. It is your responsibility to book your online classes and/or private online lessons as per our timetable and availabilities. No credit nor refund will be provided for any unattended or unused online classes as pertaining to your subscription.

Please be aware that private online lessons must be booked within a season and at a minimum rate of 1 lesson per week. If a time slot cannot be agreed upon for your private online lesson/s, it/they will be owed only within the payment season. All unused classes and lessons expire at the end of each payment season.

Cancellation Policy – Private Online Lessons

While a student normally attends private online lessons on a regular (weekly) basis, at times, attendance of a particular lesson becomes impossible.

Reasons can be twofold – teacher absence or student absence. In case of a teacher’s absence, Melodique will inform you as soon as possible.

In case of a student’s absence, please inform Melodique as soon as you become aware of the given situation (where the student cannot attend a particular lesson that you paid for).

We categorize the missed private online lessons as follows:

1. A lesson is canceled by you, with at least a 24-hour notice:

• The canceled lesson will be replaced with a make-up lesson

• You may have 3 such cancellations within a season

• A missed lesson cannot be held as an additional lesson after a season has expired

• Make-up lessons cannot be carried over beyond the end of a season

• It is your responsibility to request a make-up lesson by emailing admin@melodique.com.au or calling 0422 606 639

2. A lesson is canceled by you, with less than 24-hour notice:

• Due to the short notice, no credit can be given

• The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson is owed

• The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited

3. A lesson is not canceled by you, but the student is a “No-Show”:

• Due to the complete lack of notice, no credit is given

• The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson is owed

• The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited

4. You call during the missed lesson, informing of non-attendance

• Due to the complete lack of advanced notice, no credit is given

• The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson is owed

• The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited

5. The student arrives late for the lesson, with or without advanced notice

• No credit is given for the missed time

• The lesson will not be extended beyond its scheduled end-time

• If the student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson may not be held at all and no credit is owed

6. Multiple, subsequent lessons canceled with at least 1-month notice (eg. planned overseas trip)

• A number of lessons equal to the missed lessons will be scheduled in the weeks prior, at the studio’s convenience, lest the fee/s paid for the canceled lesson/s will be forfeited

• Lessons discontinued have the possibility of re-enrolment; however, we may be unable to provide the time slot originally held

7. Multiple, subsequent lessons canceled due to long term illness

• Lessons are discontinued have the possibility of re-enrolment; however, we may be unable to provide the time slot originally held

• If a time slot for re-enrolment cannot be agreed upon, the fee/s paid for the unattended lesson/s will then be forfeited

8. Instructor Absence

• Credit for a full make-up lesson is given within a season. No refunds.

Other Policies:

10. Advanced Make-Up Lessons

• We reserve the right to schedule advanced make-up lessons for lesson(s) that you may cancel in the future.

• Should you end up not canceling any lessons through the whole season, the season will be truncated by the number of advanced make-up lessons held.

11. Discontinuation of Subscription

• Please give us a 1 week written notice – to admin@melodique.com.au – with respect to no longer wishing to continue taking lessons.

• Any post-dated cheques held or fees already received for classes/lessons that are being canceled will not be returned.

12. Next Season Reservation

• Any reservation payment for the next season made at the end of the previous season is non-refundable

13. Payment Commitment

• While a student normally attends lessons/classes on a regular (weekly) basis within a season, your subscription payment is owed weekly within a season – the specifics of which are defined by your choice of subscription (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum).
