The Melodique Children’s Choir is a fun and social way to introduce your child to music. Open to children aged 5 years and above, our choir offers joyful group singing through songs, creative vocal exercises, and engaging musical games.

Group singing helps children build confidence, make new friends, and learn in an exciting, supportive, and creative environment. Our sessions are designed to nurture musical skills while fostering connection and self-expression.

Sessions are held weekly during each school term at our Wollongong studio on Tuesdays from 6:00–6:30pm.

MELODIQUE Children’s Choir FAQs:

◦ What are the costs? The first session is FREE! If your child wishes to continue on, you can choose to either book casually or enrol them for the term. Enrolment is billed upfront at $15.00 plus GST per session. Casual sessions are billed at $20.00 plus GST, and can be booked intermittently anytime.

◦ Do I stay during the session, or drop my child off and return after? It is ultimately up to you if you would like to remain on premises during any session.

◦ What outcomes can I expect for my child? The Melodique children’s choir is repertoire focussed, which means learning to sing and completing specific songs each term as a group is the goal. For the sake of technique development, engagement, and team-building however, sessions will also include vocal warm-up exercises and fun singing games.

◦ Will my child have the opportunity to perform with the choir? Every year our choir is invited to perform at our annual school showcase! All enrolled are encouraged to take part. A special performance piece is agreed upon and practised throughout the year.

◦ How do choir sessions compare to private singing lessons? We believe both are valuable! Private singing lessons are more technique oriented and allow for an individually tailored approach. Choir sessions are a social and creative experience, building confidence and interpersonal skills through team-work and the opportunity for self-expression amongst supportive peers. Group singing is clearly a wonderful way for your child to make friends, whilst also learning a new skill.
