Refund & Cancellation Policy

Melodique Refund, Returns, & Cancellation Policy 

In the policies below,
“you” means the person who is responsible for a student’s or client’s account with Melodique Pty Ltd;
“we” means Melodique Pty Ltd;
“season” means a period of time from the beginning of a Melodique Pty Ltd term to the end, or the beginning of a Melodique Pty Ltd holiday till the end
“credit” means service time owed by Melodique Pty Ltd to the student or client 

Gift Vouchers 

There are no refunds or credits on any Gift Voucher purchase; there is no ‘cooling off period’ for Gift Vouchers purchased.

Gift Vouchers must be fully redeemed within a period of 12 months of the date of purchase. If a time-slot or booking cannot be agreed upon for service cannot be agreed upon within that 12-month period, the fee/s paid for the Gift Voucher/s will be forfeited. 

When using a Gift Voucher to book lessons, please be aware lessons must be booked within a single season at a minimum rate of 1 lesson per week consecutively.

When using a Gift Voucher to book other musical services, please be aware the whole amount must be used in a single transaction and there are no credits, change, or refunds issued for funds not used.  

All bookings are subject to our policies. 

Gift Vouchers can never be exchanged for cash or used to purchase other Gift Vouchers. 

Due to our experience with Covid-19, we reserve the right to deliver any and all services online. There will be no refunds, credits, deferrals, or makeup lessons given for refusal to participate online. 

Services Purchased 

Once payment has been received, we endeavor to contact you within 7 working days to arrange or confirm your booking. 

If a time-slot or booking cannot be agreed upon or is not confirmed immediately, any fee paid for the service will be refunded. 

Please be aware that lessons must be booked within a single season at a minimum rate of 1 lesson per week consecutively. 

All bookings are subject to our policies. 

Due to our experience with Covid-19, we reserve the right to deliver any and all services online. There are no refunds, credits, deferrals, or makeup lessons given for refusal to participate online. 

Products Purchased 

Once payment has been received, we endeavor to contact you within 7 working days to arrange delivery of your purchase. 

There are no refunds or credits on any Product purchase, unless deemed faulty; there is no ‘cooling off period’ for products purchased. 

All Products purchased are subject to our policies. 

Due to our experience with Covid-19, we reserve the right to deliver any and all Products via no-contact means, and this may incur an additional delivery fee. There are no refunds or credits for refusal to receive Products via no-contact means. 

 

Lessons Purchased 

It is assumed that the time-slot/s for (a) Lesson/s purchased has been agreed upon and booked. There is no ‘cooling off period’ for Lessons purchased. 

All Lessons bookings must be paid for in full at least 24 hours in advance. 

Please be aware that Lessons must be booked within a single season at a minimum rate of 1 lesson per week consecutively. 

All Lesson bookings are subject to our policies. 

Due to our experience with Covid-19, we reserve the right to deliver any and all services online. There are no refunds, credits, deferrals, or makeup lessons given for refusal to participate online. 

Lesson Cancellation Policy: 

While a student normally attends lessons on a regular (weekly) basis, at times, attendance of a particular lesson becomes impossible. Reasons can be twofold – teacher absence or student absence. In the case of an instructor absence, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the case of a student absence, please inform us as soon as you become aware of the given situation (where the student cannot attend a particular lesson). 

We categorize missed lessons as follows: 

  1. A lesson is cancelled by you, with at least a 24-hour notice:
  • The cancelled lesson will be credited and can be replaced with a make-up lesson within the corresponding season 
  • You may have 3 such cancellations within a season 
  • A credit for a missed lesson cannot rolled over into any upcoming season nor applied to any new season’s invoice  
  • A credit for a missed lesson cannot be applied to any other product or service  
  • Make-up lessons cannot be carried over beyond the end of a season 
  • It is your responsibility to cancel any lesson and arrange make-up lesson via our booking systems 
  • We make no guarantees that your current instructor can attend any make-up lesson and their possible inability to do so does not supersede our policies 
  • A credit for a missed lesson can be used for any type of lesson or to book any other instructor. 
  1. A lesson is cancelled by you, with less than 24-hour notice:
  • Due to the short notice, no credit can be given for any reason 
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson or service is owed 
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited; no credit or refund. 
  1. A lesson is not cancelled by you, but the student is a “No-Show”:
  • Due to the complete lack of notice, no credit is given for any reason 
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson or service is owed 
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited; no credit or refund. 
  1. You contact during the missed lesson, informing of non-attendance:
  • Due to the lack of advanced notice, no credit is given for any reason 
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no make-up lesson or service is owed 
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited; no credit or refund. 
  1. The student arrives late for the lesson, with or without advanced notice:
  • No credit or refund is given for the missed time for any reason 
  • The lesson will not be extended beyond its scheduled end-time 
  • If the student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson may not be held at all and no credit or refund is owed 
  1. Multiple, subsequent lessons cancelled due to student’s long-term illness or injury – with provision of a medical certificate signed by a relevant, registered medical practitioner:
  • Any upcoming lessons are discontinued with the possibility to re-enroll in the upcoming season; however, we may be unable to provide the time-slot originally held 
  • If a time-slot for re-enrolment cannot be agreed upon, the fee/s paid for the unattended lesson/s will then be forfeited; no credit or refund 
  • If a time-slot for re-enrolment in the upcoming season is agreed upon, all associated missed lessons must be booked within that season as per our usual policies; any unused lessons will not be credited, refunded, or deferred into later seasons.  
  1. Instructor Absence
  • If a substitute instructor cannot be provided or is refused on the day, credit for a make-up lesson is given for use within the season; no refunds 
  • It is your responsibility to use any credits and arrange any make-up lesson/s via our booking systems within the season 
  • We make no guarantees that your current instructor can attend any make-up lesson and their possible inability to do so does not supersede our policies 
  • A credit for a missed lesson can be used for any type of lesson or to book any other instructor. 

 

Other Policies: 

  1. Discontinuation of Lessons
  • You may discontinue lessons at any time however all lesson bookings are subject to the policies above. There are no credit or refunds for season withdrawal or change of mind; there is no ‘cooling off period’. Once enrolled for a season, payment for all consequential bookings is owed regardless of the timing of withdrawal. 

 

  1. Next Season Reservation

 

  • Any reservation payment for the next season made is non-refundable. 
  1. Payment Commitment
  • While a student normally attends lessons on a regular, weekly basis within a season, a minimum payment is owed within a season once enrolment confirmed. 
  1. Covid-19 & Online Services
  • Due to our experience with Covid-19, we reserve the right to deliver any and all services online. There are no refunds, credits, deferrals, or makeup lessons given for refusal to participate online. 
  • All our lesson services are available online via Zoom. You can opt to attend any lesson online via our booking prompts.
